CAI Hosts 2008 Employment Law Conference on Post-Election Labor Law Changes

court rulings
in the new presidential term


Press Release Body: WHAT: The largest employers' association in the state, Capital
Associated Industries, Inc. (CAI), will host the 2008 Employment Law Conference, a
one-day conference on labor law changes that may come about in the new presidential
term. The program is aimed at executives, corporate counsel, HR professionals,
managers, supervisors, and anyone else who needs to know the latest developments in
federal and state employment law and how those changes could affect companies now
and in the future.

Participants will learn how to prepare for possible changes in employment law as a
result of the 2008 election, including the Family and Medical Leave Act and the
possible passage of the Employee Free Choice Act. Sessions will also discuss state
and federal laws covering harassment, diversity, hiring, employee attendance,
technology and information policies, and the aging workforce.

Experienced attorneys from Constangy, Brooks & Smith, a labor and employment law
firm, will also lead a discussion and conduct an interactive, fun pop-quiz testing
the legal aptitude of the audience.
